Last night the highlight of Ubisoft's presentation was showing us the trailer for the new installment of the Assassin's Creed series entitles Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. The trailer at first seemed to be just like all the rest of the AC trailers. You see an assassin in the traditional all white assassin get-up, walking through a crowd, showing who he's after you know the deal. But then you see a shot of a guard spotting the assassin- who happens to be Ezio from the second game- and begins to take aim, until suddenly it seems the guard is mysteriously disposed of.

This is where it gets interesting and also where Ubisoft finds a creative way to say "Hey you can assassinate people with friends now!". The trailer continues with Ezio bobbing and weaving through the crowd having arrows from above strike anyone in his way, until he finds his mark disposes of the guards around him, and has his posse of 5 fellow assassins join in on the fun.
It's nice to see that I will be able to have my friends join me in causing political uproars in Rome During 1503. But it still makes me wonder how Ubisoft plans on implementing multi-player into their franchise. Not so much the mechanics of this concept, but more so the limitless possibilities that they now have adding the feature.
In the perfect world I would be able to make my own assassin and run around making a name for myself within the online community along with my friends. But we will just have to wait and see just what Ubisoft does with this golden idea.
