We here at the show absolutely love the Left 4 Dead series. Scott seems to enjoy the first game for different reasons than I enjoy the sequel, but we can both agree on the fact that both games do certain things extremely well while lacking in other areas. Still, there are lots of people who will play the original game for the fact that they love the simplicity of the gameplay.
Because of that, a group of developers - the same group that created Portal: Prelude - have released another, all-new campaign for Left 4 Dead called "I Hate Mountains". The best part of it all? It's free for any owner of the PC version of the game.
The developers have even went as far as to advise you on the best way to enjoy the game and what settings should be turned on or altered in order for you to really immerse yourself into this darker, much more intense campaign of four sections and finale, each with multiple paths to take.
We don't want to jump into too many details because we want everyone to really pick up this awesome add-on, but we will say that the graffiti is something that if you haven't taken the time to read in campaigns in the past, you're going to want to in this one. It should also be noted that the environment is extremely detailed and will require a little more exploration than in the official campaigns included in the game. However, the total duration of the full campaign should take around an hour and a half on Normal - just slightly longer than the norm.
This is definitely worth a download and a second and third play-through. Head over to the website now to start your latest venture of shootin' zombies!
