KFC Aiming for College Girls' Asses

If your target demographic is males 18-25, where would be the best place to put advertisements for your product? Obviously on the asses of hot girls. This is exactly what KFC has done with their new guerrilla marketing campaign.

If you are a hot college girl and need $500 fast, you too can hand out coupons and wear red fitted sweatpants that read "Double Down" on the back. At least if you go to Spalding University in Louisville. Talk about an EASY $500.

Terry O'Neill, president of the National Organization for Women, said,

It's so obnoxious to once again be using women's bodies to sell fundamentally unhealthy products.

So, it is OK for a woman to decide what to do with her body when it comes to abortion but not when it comes to what pants to wear? Interesting. Apparel companies and sororities have been using this exact same marketing technique for years now and no one has complained about it then. Is it because these women are getting paid to do it that it is wrong?

Considering a recent survey that found that over 60% of their target demo couldn't identify Colonel Sanders in the company's logo, it is important for KFC to do whatever it takes to get their name in front of as many eyes as possible and I would imagine more people will see it here than on a billboard downtown.
