Verizon Embraces 3G Skype
posted Sunday Feb 21, 2010 by Jon Wurm
Next month brings good news to the users of Verizon Wireless services. They will finally be able to enjoy "unlimited" Skype-to-Skype voice calls to and from anywhere in the world over Verizon's 3G network so long as your plan has the appropriate data plan attached. The reason why the word finally was chosen is because this is nothing new for AT&T users who have been doing this since last fall and Sprint users who have been doing it for over a year now. Verizon is right to finally get on board and it's no surprise they took a while to do so seeing as they are the most controlling wireless carrier in the U.S. Be mindful that in the cell service industry unlimited doesn't always mean unlimited so read the fine print before going all out.
Hit the break to see a list of phones the Skype mobile app will be available on, with more to come in the future:

BlackBerry Storm 2
BlackBerry Curve 8330
BlackBerry Curve 8530
