4TB Hitachi Consumer Drives

Hitachi was the first manufacturer to utilize perpendicular technology, allowing them to make a consumer drive over a terabyte. Now, they are talking about smaller heads, allowing them to create a 4TB desktop, 1TB notebook drive, available to the public within the next 4 years. That is an announcement that should make any media freak happy: no more stacking hard drives to hold all of your Survivor episodes.
