Ubisoft: Assassin's Creed III

Producer Francois Pelland took the stage to tell us how Assassin's Creed III brings the fight with the Templar to our very own shores. The good news is that the story is set with in a 30 year time frame which occurs before, during and after the Revolutionary War era of the U.S.A. It's also a good thing that the colonists have Conner, the newest assassin, to help put those Redcoats in their place, for now. In a cut scene Conner makes it clear to someone that he is there because of the Templar and the fight between the Colonists and England is not his concern. Find out more and catch the trailer after the break.

Putting down the crown when necessary requires tromping through the snow covered forests of New England hunting down various forms of wildlife like deer and defending yourself from things that eat the deer, like wolves. Trees, snow covered rocks and cliffs provide the means for traveling quickly and offer familiar game mechanics that all Assassin's Creed fans have grown accustomed to by now. Beside the change of setting, there is a definite change of pace to Assassin's Creed III as well. For much of the game play Conner was actively engaged in group battles that were more God of War than previous games in the series so far. In fact, Conner practically blows up a British outpost to kill a high ranking officer which ends what we have been able to see thus far. Don't be discouraged though, there will be more on this as the week progresses so stay plugged into our E3 2012 coverage.
