Black Friday Looked Good for Gaming

Thanksgiving week is always the busiest shopping week of the year, but Santa was extra good to Microsoft this year, doubling the number of Xbox 360's sold in a single week. I guess they don't make amazing gaming systems at the North Pole.
Aaron Greenberg, Xbox 360 product management director, would not release the number of consoles sold, but Microsoft is expected to provide this information within a few weeks. We do know that up until October last year, about 70,000 were purchased per week.
Sony didn't do too bad either selling over 440,000 PS3s in a week alone. With the reduction in price and more appealing look, Sony stated that the "demand for the PS3 is at an all time high." Nintendo also made out pretty well, with about 500,000 Wii consoles and over 1 million DS and DSi handhelds purchased on Black Friday.
With sales at an all time high, looks like children are gonna be excited when they wake up on Christmas this year.
