Verizon Wireless is really stepping up their game in the mobile phone industry. We reported to you that Verizon will be coming out with a phone that is expected to kick the iPhone's ass, but now it seems that it will be even better than anticipated. To heighten the promotion of the new device, Verizon will be opening doors early on launch day. The phone is set to come out on November 6th and if you want to be the first to purchase it, you better be there before the doors open at 6am.

For only $99, Verizon customers will also be able to purchase the Droid Eris on the same day. Seems like someone is trying to surpass Apple. On the release day of the iPhone 3GS (3G Suck), the 3G's price dropped to $99, and sales began early for the new phone. Is Verizon trying to make a statement or is it just me?
