Glenn Keels: Serving Hyperscale Customers - Project Moonshot

Glenn Keels, Director of Marketing at HP leads worldwide product and segment Marketing for HP's Hyperscale Business Unit within ISS. Primarily focused on product development and go to market for ProLiant SL and private/custom designed servers, Glenn has also been involved in HP PODs (Performance Optimized DataCenters) helping to power the world's largest cloud infrastructures and lead the industry in high performance computing (HPC).
In this interview, Glenn talks about HP's Project Moonshot , where servers are designed for Hyperscale customers - those who provide independent clouds , facing a real crisis in power cost and complexity. For these customers, the datacenter is their business. HP's offering is not focused particularly on ARM versus Intel based designs - but rather on the overall design of an architectural infrastructure that will develop over several years into a family of products.
