The product category of action cameras has never been more popular, and the company that started it all is GoPro. This year, the company is showing off a greatly enhanced set of products in their popular Hero line. Both cameras in the line offer UHD, or 4k, video recording, and are both waterproof out of the box. That means no more need for additional cases to make them waterproof. They also offer built-in stabilization, as well as voice control, so you can ensure there is no jitter to your recordings when you first begin.
Where the HERO5 Black separates itself from the HERO5 Session is a touchscreen on the back. That means that you can get full camera control without having to use the basic controls. You also get GPS, meaning that your photos and videos are tagged with location so you know exactly where you were during a recording.
The HERO5 Session is available for $299, while the HERO5 Black is available for $399. Like all GoPro cameras, there are also tons of accessories like batteries, cases, stands and more available.
