While Sling TV may have gotten a lot of press at the show this year, the company most sysonymous with the term "sling" is SlingMedia, makers of the Slingbox. The original technology for physically-shifted television watching. Unlike Aereo, it does require you to maintain your own hardware, but it has kept the company above-board.

The second model is more advanced; dubbed the Slingbox 500 / SlingTV, this unfortunately confusingly named product adds the ability to browse content information within the Slingbox interface. Both devices are available now.
