Laird Popkin and Toni Moore, representatives of E-nabling The Future, talk with the team about the organization and its interesting mission. Pairing up people with 3D printers with those who are in need of inexpensive artificial hands, the organization is able to help give more natural mobility to those with the need.

Providing schematics, sizing and plans, all a provider need do is print and assemble a 3D printed hand and arrange delivery. The printed parts in total cost only between $30 and $50, depending on the size and style, meaning someone could enhance their lives for very little money.

Terri Willingham @ Roboticon Tampa Bay 2014

2014-10-12

Terri Willingham is always our favorite interview at these events, because she represents so many sides of the tech and educational world, and she does it with a passion that is difficult to match. As a creative partner for Eureka! Factory, she was instrumental in creating Roboticon Tampa Bay. As the Regional Director of FIRST in Central Florida, she helps new and existing teams start and maintain their programs. She is also part of the FRC Orlando Regional planning committee.

Terri is also responsible for our participation in Robocon Tampa Bay 2013, the FRC Orlando Regional 2014 and Gulf Coast MakerCon 2014, and of course Roboticon Tampa Bay 2014. We look forward to seeing where she takes us next.
