Chief Software Evangelist Paul Muller (officially VP Software Marketing at Hewlett-Packard) talks about focusing on IT Performance and Business and Enterprise goals, and the changing role of the CIO, moving from doer to designer. You can often over-optimize sub-systems that result in an overall decrease in performance. The change required is a change in mindset is from Project Manager to technology manager - introducing design thinking into the process.

Gene Kim is a researcher, author and multiple award-winning entrepreneur as the founder and former CTO of Tripwire. He is author of the books "Visible Ops" and "Visible Ops Security," and is working on two books being published in August, "When IT Fails: A Business Novel" and " The DevOps Cookbook."
