Secure Your Passwords With Biometrics [Live]
Saturday Jan 10, 2015 (00:08:02)
Maintaining passwords can be a real chore. Some of us have hundreds of accounts to deal with, and some of them change passwords on a regular basis. You could have a piece of software on your computer that maintains your usernames and passwords, but what happens when you're not at that computer? You could sync them to your phone, but that means you have to trust the publisher.
A great alternative is IDKEY, a portable device designed for storing passwords. The company's M-Series offers a small screen, biometric sensor and 16GB of encrypted storage. To unlock the device, simply touch the sensor and the device can pass the info to compatible software. If the device gets lost and is opened up, the device will self destruct, protecting your data.
The IDKEY is availble now for pre-order for $279.
From laptops and Lumia to Surface and Xbox, get it at the Microsoft Store.
