A Health Tracker That Lasts Long Enough to Use Daily
Saturday Jan 10, 2015 (00:03:26)
Wearable technology is obviously designed to be worn. Many of these devices offer features like sleep tracking, which we have seen in devices for several years now. The problem with this is, if you are to wear the device to get the benefits, what do you do about the battery? Normally we charge our devices while sleeping, but that kills the sleep tracking capabilities.
Luckily LifeTrak, the company that builds the heart rate monitor that is used in many brands of gym equipment, decided to tackle this problem for us. Their line of wearable devices offer all of the normal features, like sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring, etc., but the batteries are capable of running for up to a year.
Designed to be worn all day, every day, the devices are waterproof up to 30 meters. They are available now for $60 to $120, depending on the device and its capabilities.
From laptops and Lumia to Surface and Xbox, get it at the Microsoft Store.
